Doncaster Rovers in association with Mawson Sports UK and Mini Kicks are launching a pilot scheme called The Football Nursery starting for all players aged 5 & 6.

The Nursery is a new concept, which will combine high quality training with regular fixtures in a fun, learning environment. Players will all be part of the same squad but will be split into small teams to play various fixtures every Sunday morning.

The games will be 9:30 – 10:45 every Sunday morning throughout the summer and will allow youngsters to learn to be competitive in a learning environment. The coaches will work with players not only to develop their technique but also their decision-making and cognitive skills as well as supporting each players social development.

All players will receive a training kit, 3 matches per week minimum and match tickets to Rovers games as well as be provided with playing shirts for each game.

Places are limited to 30 and are first come first served. The cost for the Pilot is £20 for 2 months ending mid July. The Nursery has been designed to aid player development and complement their training with their grassroots club. Players will form part of the Doncaster Rovers Player Development Program and still be a part of their grassroots club.
